Remnants Has Some Exciting News!

I cannot believe we just finished our 13th Remnants of the Past Vintage Show. The vendor's booths were brimming over with treasures and the customers were delightful. We were very excited to have Rachel Ashwell and Susan Branch as our special guests.  Rachel and Susan were so gracious as they stood for hours signing their books and chatting with their fans.  It was such a treat! Remnants had over 4000 people with 81 amazing vendors ~ our biggest show yet!

I am so excited to share news for 2014. Remnants of the Past will be expanding to San Jose in June 2014. We will have a lot more room and will be including some wonderful new vendors. Very exciting! So mark your calendars for June 28th & 29th, 2014. The show will be held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose. After the first of the year, I will be sharing more details. Stayed tuned!

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas! We have so much to be thankful for and I am grateful for every day and want each to be Merry! Christmas brings so many memories and traditions for me. Many of my memories are centered around baking. My Grandmother would type out her recipes on an old typewriter and carefully place them in this little black book. My Grandparents lived in Canada and I remember receiving a big package every Christmas. My sister and I would wait with anticipation until my Mother would open the package. Along with the gifts would be my Grandmother's traditional fruitcake that she soaked for weeks in brandy, sherry and rum. You could get drunk just off the fumes when we opened the package! My Grandmother loved to bake and it would mean so much to share one of my favorite recipes with my Remnants friends
~ Mincemeat Apple Betty.

As I finish writing this newsletter, I am remembering a baby in a manger...

Christmas is a love story that never ends.

Blessing to you and your families!

xoxo

Judy
