Remnants of the Past Vintage Show

I cannot believe that the show is only a week away. Preparing for an event like this is crazy and fun. The shopping (my favorite part), deciding on a theme, special guests, inviting the vendors, ordering the tents, the food and making sure I have enough help for the day is just part of what goes into this show but I wouldn't have it any other way. There are always the joys and the bumps and I am so thankful that the joys out weigh the bumps. All the vendors are excited to be at the show and meet all the new people that will be there and are gathering up their best of the best of their treasures. I love watching and listening to the vendors as they meet up with their fellow hunters and gatherers. Some have seen each other at other shows and many have not seen each other since my last show in October. There are hugs, giggles and "Let me see what you brought" comments. It's great! Then the day of the show arrives and the crowd patiently waits in line in anticipation of what they will find. I watch them take in the sights, smells and sounds of the show. The bell rings and they are off! It is a flurry of activity and then the people get into their strolling mode as they go through the booths again to see what they might have missed. I love the groups that plan to meet there at the show, the mothers and daughters and friends that make a day to spend with each other. It is such a sense of community, the people that love the thrill of the hunt. See why I love this show! I can't wait to see all of you!

Here is my team the day of the show. It is a family affair and with special friends, too. Aren't they adorable!

  2. Judy,
Your show is amazing and so are you!!! Thank you for all the hard work you put into making this show so special and for making every shopper and vendor feel at home while at the barn. I can't wait to see you next week. Here's to another successful show because of you!

  3. I have really enjoyed meeting all the vendors. I was already wanting to go to the show anyway, but hearing all the stories about the vendors just tripled that desire! I already feel a connection to them and just want to go and meet them! Too bad I'm half way across the country. I know you will have a fabulous show! Thanks Judy for all the posts.
