The Start of a New Year



When I was younger, I remember that everything had to be just so. So, when Christmas was over, I would have the tree immediately down and my house all in order. All my friends would say, "You take your tree down too early" or "Your house is always perfect." Well, I am happy to say that with age comes wisdom. I didn't take my tree down till yesterday! I have been playing, lazing around, doing a little reading, shopping and generally just relaxing. I am in heaven!


My big kid of a husband still rings Santa's bells to wake everyone up. :)

Reading a book by the fire. I never take time to do this. It was heaven.


Riding bikes with hubby.

I made a promise to myself to take more time for soaking life in. Life goes by way to fast. Speaking of that... cannot believe my Spring show is in a few month!. I am busily planning away and so stayed tuned.

    It's awesome what you are doing- keep it going....we can still have neat houses when we have to...my tree is still up and I'm loving it!! We didn't have snow for Christmas and now we've got it, so it LOOKS like Christmas now...I'm working through boxes of decorations and organizing things, cleaning out closets, but I walk by that tree and I smile every single time!
