My daughter, Devon, has watched, followed and has created her own style with many of hours being in the car with me.  I love that the apple doesn't fall from the tree.  I also love that she has embraced the vintage lifestyle and brought her traditional husband along with her.  I enjoy so much watching these newlyweds create their nest.  I happy to share that Devon and Tim will be debuting their booth, Table & Hearth, for the first time this weekend.  Here are her answers to my questions.

1. What is the funniest antiques item that you have purchased at an antique show or flea market and why?

The funniest antique I bought from a flea market was an original General Electric lamp post base from an old street light.  I thought it was beautiful and would make a great display.  When I went to lift it up, it weighed at least 50lbs!  I knew I had parked far away but I was determined to make the trek with my new found treasure.  I carried that thing across the Rose Bowl Flea Market when it was 90 degrees and almost gave myself a hernia while carrying it to the car.  Looking back, it was well worth it because it is beautiful!

2. What would be the first collection you would grab in case of a disaster?

If I had to leave my home because of a natural disaster, I would grab my notebook in which my husband and I wrote letters to each other when we were dating.  We still try to add love letters to it as a keepsake and to document our favorite travels and memories.

3. If you were to write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?

If we were to write a book the title would be The Junking Family.  I grew up going to flea markets with my mom and I know I will pass it down to my kids one day -- It’s in our Blood!

Please welcome my cute daughter and adorable husband!

xoxo
