Susan Branch

I had dinner here under this arbor!

I have been working for Susan Branch for nearly three years now. I met Susan one day at my store as she was pulling weeds out of my front yard. Susan and my paths would cross off and on and then one day she invited me to a luncheon she was having at her home in California to debut her new book "Autumn". I was privileged to be able to eat many of her new recipes and to connect with her more. When I sold my store four years ago and was looking for a job, Susan called me and said I can put you to work. Well, she is stuck with me now. I hear of so many woman that are so unhappy in their jobs, the office politics, gossip and just not healthy environments. Not at Susan Branch! There is not a day that goes by that Susan doesn't tell Kellee, her graphic artist, and myself how much we are appreciated. You cannot beat that to start your day. We are a small studio that manages her artwork, licensing and her web store. Each month, Susan writes a newsletter called the Willard. It is not your usual newsletter. It is full of inspiration, recipes and projects. If you haven't signed up for the Willard, you are missing out. I can hardly wait for it to enter my Inbox and I work there. So head right over here and sign up and you are in for a treat!

  1. Great Pictures Judy. Enjoyed all your photos of Martha's Vineyard too and have imagined working for Sue would be just as you described.

  5. I first fell for her when I lived in Santa Barbara and was working at the Jordano's kitchen store. One day I was walking through the cookbook section and was immediately drawn to her cookbook. How can you not be. Her artwork is amazing, her quotes are perfect, and her recipes are easy and good! I have bought every one of her cookbooks since, and buy her calendars every year! I now live in Northern California, but have made it to your Remnants of the Past show the last two times, and luv your style too! Thank you, to two wonderful, talented ladies!
