The Week After...

Words to describe the day of the show...
beautiful day...
a herd of people...
incredible treasures...
a herd of people...
the BEST vendors...
a herd of people...
a day that I will never forget...

I woke up Saturday morning with such anticipation for the day. I walked around the show very early in the morning and thought, everyone is going to just die when they see how beautiful everything is. The cars started pouring in at 7AM and didn't stop until the show ended. I loved listening to the oohs and aahs... from the people as they went to each booth. I saw people's arms loaded with packages and lots of happy faces.

After each show, I calculate growth and anticipate the increase in attendance and try to forecast for future shows. In my wildest dreams, I never anticipated the amount of people that came pouring in. I have to say for the amount of people that attended and as crowded as the booths were, people showed such patience, kindness and graciousness through it all. As we all know, growing has its growing pains but out of it comes solutions for the future. I've received so MANY emails thanking me and the vendors for such a wonderful time and received a lot of great feedback for future shows. I am looking forward to the Fall show and I have a couple of surprises up my sleeve, so stayed tuned...

Love to you all and THANK YOU!

  1. Judy, the sale was wonderful and I know people loved coming, and had a great time! =) I would consider it a great thing, when everyone wants to come, and see such beautiful things. I talked to a friend last night, and she couldn't say enough good things about her time there on Saturday. You are so organized, and have such a splendid way with details, and making everyone feel special. Thank you for all your hard work, and the effort you put into it to give everyone such a fun day! I can't wait for the Fall sale. You are doing a great event here on the Central Coast. Congratulations on a job WELL DONE!! Love you!! <3

  4. My mom and I have little in common. It can be painful at times as we struggle to maintain a close relationship. One thing that we do have in common is a love of vintage. We both make an effort to meet twice a year at your show and have managed to do so since the first show. For some reason we put our differences on the shelf as we hurry excitedly through the little white tents. We even differ in what we like so there is no arguing over the same treasure. We also take time to sit and eat together. I love my mom. She loves me. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to remember that and create the memories that I know will be so precious to me someday.

  6. My Niece and I came from Corona & Glendora for the the fair. It was all that we thought it would be, got there at 9:00 and left about 12:30. We bought a few things from those who let us do a little bargining, the rest were way out of our price. We ran into an elderly gentleman and his wife who had attended the show several years ago, and her said it was much more reasonable priced back then and not as crowded. Got to expect that once you advertise in a magazine that the pices will go up exstansable. We had alot of fun on the whole trip and would do it again for sure!!

  7. It was a full and amazing day of shopping and visiting with vendors for us. I sent you an email Judy (or maybe two, I was excited). I would love to become one of your vendors. I think my Steampunk and Neo Victorian Style would marry in well with the talented ladies you already have. I am a third generation native of San Luis Obispo.
    Here is my little shop.

  8. I had a great time, Judy. I was prepared for a big mess loading up and getting out but it was a breeze, all of the vendors are so wonderful. As far as the crowds, I guess a little Country Living goes a long way! You handled it all with a smile, I never saw a bit of stress on your face, my hero!

  9. Dear Judy, how can we express our deep gratitude for all that you and your wonderful team did! Even though we were exhausted and had to drive three hours back home to prepare for another show, we were singing all the way home. What an amazing group of people and what an amazing experience! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

    Blessings to you!

  10. I had heard so many wonderful things about your show and finally got to attend last weekend. Wow. From the flower lined walkway to the fabulous booths everything was so well done and inspiring. Have you thought about a charity preview night? I would love to shop while sipping champagne in less crowded conditions. Just a thought. See you in the fall!
