Komendol Road

First weekend of June and I am walking the wonderful show called The Farm Chicks and I am stopped in my tracks.  Crisp, clean, fun and interesting and this is what Liz of Komendol Road brings to her booth.  I was filled with delight on how fresh her booth felt.  Liz has a darling studio on the quaint island called, Bainbridge, in Washington. This will be Liz's second time at Remnants and I am so excited to have her back.

Scavenger's Paradise

                     

Many of you are not aware but I personally select every vendor that is in Remnants.  Not only do I look at their inventory but more importantly, I look how they present their booth and their personality.   This is what sets Remnants apart. I travel around looking for possible vendors but many times, I depend on my current vendors to let me know when they find someone fabulous.  This was the case with Gilliam Greyson of Scavenger's Paradise. I was given her number by another vendor that sent me a text saying, "This woman has to be in Remnants"!  I quickly called Gilliam and she was the perfect fit for Remnants.  Unusual inventory and kind as can be. Pensieri Design

Jody was a customer that would come into my store everytime she came into town.  Over time, I got to know Jody and realized that she has a incredible eye for antique textiles and buys the most exquisite pieces and recreates them to works of art.  Her business, Pensieri Design, is known for the best vintage textiles and Jody regulary sells at the well known show Marburger and people come from far to see her.  Welcome Jody....

1  What is the funniest antique item that you have purchased from an antique show or flea market? and why?

I can't say here! 

2.  If you had to leave your home because of a natural disaster, what collection of yours would you grab first and why?

My photo albums and my collection of antique textiles,

wall hangings, tapestry, etc. 

3.  If you were to write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?

My Nine Lives...

Because I've had some interesting adventures that were nearly fatal.
